Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Uteke (the "App"), provided by CodeCora ("we", "us", "our"), handles information when you use the App on iOS or Android. We designed the App to be private by default: your memories and notes are stored on your device, and we operate no servers that store your content.

Summary

• Your content (notes, memories, settings, recordings) lives on your device only. We do not receive, store, or sync it.
• We do not require an account, and we do not collect analytics, advertising identifiers, or crash data through the App.
• Purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google. We use RevenueCat to validate your purchase status using anonymous transaction identifiers.
• Microphone audio is captured and processed on your device. Your recordings are never uploaded to us.

Information We Collect

Information stored on your device

All content you create or import into the App (memories, notes, tags, preferences, and any audio files you record or attach) is stored locally on your device. It is not transmitted to us. Deleting the App (or its data) permanently removes this content; we have no copy.

Purchase and entitlement information

When you buy a subscription or one-time purchase, the transaction is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not see your name, payment details, or full payment account. We use the third-party service RevenueCat to check whether your purchase is valid and active. For this purpose, RevenueCat receives anonymous transaction identifiers from the store (such as a receipt or transaction ID and a random device/installation identifier). This data is not linked to your identity, because we do not collect your identity.

Information we do not collect

The App does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or crash reporting SDKs. We do not collect: contact information, precise location, contacts, photos, browsing history, advertising identifiers, or usage telemetry. Note that your device's operating system (iOS or Android) may generate its own crash or diagnostic reports and send them to Apple or Google under their own policies; that is outside our control.

Permissions We Request

• Microphone (voice recording): The App can record audio so you can capture memories by voice. Recording happens only when you start it. Audio is processed and stored on your device and is never uploaded to us or to any third party by the App.
• File access (import/export): Used only when you explicitly pick files to import or choose where to export, via the standard system file picker.

Third-Party Services

The App relies on a small number of third parties:

• Apple App Store / Google Play — process your purchases and subscriptions. Their handling of payment and account data is governed by Apple's or Google's own privacy policies.
• RevenueCat — validates purchase entitlements using anonymous identifiers (see above). Privacy policy: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
• Hugging Face — when you explicitly choose to download an AI model, the download is fetched from huggingface.co. That request is made by your device and is covered by the Hugging Face privacy policy. Models are stored locally after download.

Legal Bases (EEA/UK users)

Where the GDPR applies: we process purchase/entitlement data on the basis of our legitimate interest in verifying and providing the services you bought (Art. 6(1)(f)), and Apple/Google process payment data as independent controllers under their own policies. We do not collect personal data for marketing or profiling.

Data Retention

• Content you create: stored locally until you delete it or uninstall the App.
• Purchase/entitlement records (via RevenueCat): retained as long as needed to validate your purchases and to comply with accounting and legal obligations.
• We retain no server-side copy of your content, so there is nothing for us to delete upon request beyond entitlement records.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your Rights

Because we do not collect personal information through the App, we typically hold no personal data about you beyond anonymous entitlement records. You may nevertheless contact us to:

• Ask whether any personal data about you exists in our records;
• Request deletion of entitlement records linked to your purchase identifiers;
• Exercise rights available to you under applicable law (such as GDPR or CCPA where applicable).

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App changes (for example, if a future version adds an optional cloud feature). The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be reflected in the App's store listing before the relevant update ships.
